Exclusive photos – Sexy Emmerdale star gets ready to go loopy →

EMMERDALE star Chastity Dingle took the train to Cultra ahead of the Emmerdale Extravaganza on Saturday June 7. Lucy Pargeter, who plays the feisty vet receptionist in the hit ITV soap, rode the rails to encourage people going to the event at the Ulster Folk & Transport Museum to make use of the extra public transport available as there will be no visitor parking.

The Emmerdale actress can’t wait to meet all the Northern Ireland fans at the Extravaganza.

She said: “I didn’t realise how big Emmerdale was in Northern Ireland.
“I started doing some PAs over here last year and it’s astonishing. We get recognised more over here than we do back in Leeds it’s fantastic and everyone seems to love the show. I’m so glad it’s over here this year”.

The Extravaganza, organised by Scottish company George Walker Events, will see a cast of 35 Emmerdale stars get involved in a variety of events at the Ulster Folk & Transport Museum, followed by a glitzy dinner dance at the Culloden Hotel. The charity events include Emmerdale Goes Loopy – which sees people being able to raise sponsorship to learn how to fly – a 5 km run, an abseil and 5-aside football and golf.

Lucy is a self-confessed adrenaline junkie and is taking part in three of the charity events.

“I’m going to be doing the abseil, the army cook-off and I want to do the Emmerdale Goes Loopy challenge, I desperately want to do that one”, she said.

“Anything to do with speed or adrenaline or that fear factor. I like cooking and I like army men as well so that combines the two”.

The Emmerdale Extravaganza aims to raise much needed funds for the Anthony Nolan Trust, which takes back lives from leukaemia by managing and recruiting new donors to the UK’s most successful bone marrow register as well as undertaking vital research leading to improvements in the effectiveness and safety of bone marrow transplants.

The Emmerdale event has been running for the seven years and was previously held in Aberdeen.

“The Extravaganza is really important to us, The Anthony Nolan Trust is a charity that’s close to a few hearts in the cast”, said Lucy.
“It’s very important to raise awareness most of all, including money.

“It’s been in Aberdeen before but it’s fantastic to be in Belfast and do it over here for a change. We’re hitting a whole group of new people who will be informed about the Anthony Nolan Trust and it’ll be good craic for us as well.

“There’s loads of things to see, there’s a chance to meet up with the cast, we’ll be around all day, so if people want to ask all those questions they never got to ask and see us in real life without being our characters.

“Get involved, raise some money and have a good day out with the family”.

Translink, official sponsors of the Emmerdale Extravaganza, are putting on extra transport including the Emmerdale Express, to take families to the event at the County Down tourist venue as there is no parking.

Lynda Shannon Communication Manager at Translink said: “We are proud sponsors of the Emmerdale Extravaganza, aimed at raising money for The Anthony Nolan Trust, Taking back lives from Leukaemia.

“For a more comfortable, stress free journey, to this fun filled event choose public transport Translink has teamed up with the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum to offer spectators a variety of different cost-effective and convenient ways to travel to the event”.

Mark Irvine, Head of Operations, Ulster Folk & Transport Museum added: “This is the first time the Emmerdale Extravaganza has come to Northern Ireland and we are delighted that the Ulster Folk & Transport Museum has been chosen as the venue. It is a hugely popular fixture with fans and cast alike.

“As well as the trains and regular Translink bus service, there will be a Park and Ride facility at Holywood Exchange. Because of the onsite activities we are limiting car parking spaces at the museum on the day to disability badge holders only”.

The Emmerdale Extravaganza is inviting people along to the Ulster Folk & Transport Museum for fun, food, shopping, entertainment, air displays, fashion show and all the fun of the fair.

Lucy: I'd love to be Chas →

Lucy Pargeter has reportedly revealed she’d love to be like her Emmerdale character.

The brunette, who plays feisty Chastity Dingle, told the Daily Star: “I love my character because I do everything I sometimes want to do in my own life - I really get to mouth off.”

The 30-year-old actress also apparently revealed she suffered from bulimia as a child.

“It started when I was 17,” she apparently told the paper. “I gorged on cakes, sweets and fizzy drinks and made myself sick at least once a day.”

And now it seems the actress, who has a three-year-old daughter with her partner Rudi Coleano, is considering more plastic surgery.

“I had my breasts reshaped and some implants to make them firmer, not bigger,” she apparently said. “It did great things to my confidence and as soon as everything starts going south again, I will be heading straight back into surgery.”

Tom Lister (Carl) and Suzanne Shaw (Eve) Q & A

Tom lister and Suzzane shaw took out time from there busy shedule to talk to there doting fans about there storyline of carl and eve in a live web chat on the itv website

Hi Zoe, and welcome everyone. I think murdering my dad was pretty massive. The fallout was big, falling out with my brothers and my relationship with Chas went horribly wrong. It went on for ages and that’s got to be one of my favourite storylines as Carl.

Tom Lister Hi Ally, it’s not one of her favourite things obviously but she’s got used to it now. And it’s not real!

Tom Lister: Hi ElvisFan - time will tell! I think the whole reason they got together is yet to be revealed. Eve has made her feelings quite clear - she wants no strings attached. You wonder while Carl is doing this because everything with Chas is fine. He’s one for going off and doing things on the spur of the moment and not thinking about it until afterwards. He doesn’t want to get on the wrong side of Chas, that’s for sure!

Tom Lister: Hi Phrankie - that is odd but no!

Tom Lister: Hi Kevyn - depends on if she finds out doesn’t it! That would be the key. The thing with Carl and Chas is they are meant to be together but at the same time they’re also impossible together. They’ve been together then split up again and then got back together. They can’t seem to live with each other or without each other - if that makes sense.

Tom Lister: Hi Miranda. Time will tell on those bedroom scenes. You will have to keep watching!

Tom Lister: Aimee - Carl’s a great character because he’s such an idiot in many ways. He’s got his business back together, his brother, things are great with his girlfriend. Yet despite all these things, he’s on the verge of screwing it all up. He’s an idiot - but I’ve known blokes like that in the past (not killed people obviously!). You wonder why they would want to ruin your life like that. But it’s great to play him because of all the things he gets up to.

Tom Lister: Hi Laura. Maybe something in America like Dexter, not a soap but no need to be in another soap in this country when you’re in the best one!! ;o)

Tom Lister: Linda - boxers

Tom Lister: Hi Craig - possibly although I do have video footage of me on an ice rink and it’s not pretty. I looked like a big, fat chicken on rollerskates.

Tom Lister: Lots - it’s strange when you get people recognised but the show is watched by millions of people so… You’re bound to get recognised when you’re out and about. Most people are lovely, they say Hi or they love the show. Some tell me I’m a bit of a numpty and that my character is awful!

Tom Lister: Chambers, no I didn’t know Suzanne before Emmerdale. I saw her on Popstars though!

Tom Lister: Hi Amy, Kissing scenes aren’t too bad really. Everyone thinks it’s highly romantic but there’s loads of people around and it’s quite technical, sometimes takes several goes so it’s quite funny if anything.

Tom Lister doesn't see Emmerdale future →

‘Emmerdale’s Tom Lister has revealed while he enjoys being a part of the hit ITV1 soap, he can’t see himself playing the role of Carl King forever

Tom Lister doesn’t plan on being in ‘Emmerdale’ forever. The actor - who plays Carl King in the hit ITV1 soap - enjoys being a part of the show, but hopes to have moved onto a differing role within the next 10 years. He explained: “In 10 years, I’d like to be working and busy. I’ve got lots of ambitions and I’d love to have had more experiences and different roles. I love being in ‘Emmerdale’ but perhaps I might go away and do something else for a bit.” The soap star - who joined the cast of the popular drama in 2004 - also revealed he was tempted by a career as a teacher. He added: “If I wasn’t an actor I’d probably be a teacher. But my wife’s a teacher and I see all the stress involved. I just get to play for a living. I also like the thought of being a doctor, but maybe that’s just because I really like ‘ER’. “When I was a child I wanted to be a geography teacher. But then I did A-level geography and realised how boring it was

spoilers 30th August to 3rd september

Carl books himself and Eve into a hotel for an afternoon.

Eve feels bad about Chas (yeah, looks like it)

You just know this is going to lead to all sorts of trouble…

Of course, Chas has no idea.

And Eve can’t believe the way Carl’s behaving. But she still wants him.

Lister: 'Chas and Carl are meant to be' →

Emmerdale star Tom Lister has admitted that he thinks his character Carl King is meant to be with Chas Dingle.

The on-screen couple’s relationship is tested when Carl has an affair with Eve Jenson (Suzanne Shaw), but Lister said he hopes that they continue their relationship.

When asked who the right woman for Carl is, he told PA: “I think Chas. I think in many ways they’ve been through so much yet they’ve always found each other through the most trying of circumstances.

“I think Chas and Carl are probably meant for each other but in many ways impossible together because they are constantly messing up what they’ve got, which is so good. It’s normally my fault, but hey!”

Speaking of Carl’s affair, Lister added: “He thinks he’s having his cake and eating it. He doesn’t want to hurt Chas but she’s oblivious. Eve knows things are still great with Chas yet she’s still there being a willing recipient and ready to be there when he needs her.

“He’s a bit of a horrendous individual when it comes to stuff like that. He’s very selfish and self involved.”

I am happiest when, I get home after work, or I’m on holiday and get the chance to kick back and relax with my family. Life just feels so hectic sometimes. I’m a father of two and I’m trying to move house at the moment!

The proudest moment of my life was, becoming a dad twice. Seeing my little boys being born was amazing. Now Ben’s nearly four and Sam is 18 months.

I get angry when, somebody is not listening or they’re being obnoxious, but it takes a lot to get me angry.

My earliest memory is playing with my twin brother. We used to live on a street with a hill, and we’d bomb down it on our bikes or our rollerblades and our sledges in the winter.

In 10 years, I would  like to be… working and busy. I have got lots of ambitions and I’d love to have more experiences and different roles. I love being in Emmerdale, but perhaps I might go away and do something else for a bit.

My greatest fear is,  I am training for a triathlon at the moment, which involves open water swimming. I’ve been practising in the ocean and, as I got out deeper, the Jaws music started to play in my head and I started thinking about what’s down there. If something had touched my leg, I would have freaked out! I like to face my fears, though, I did a sky dive when I turned 30, and I conquered my fear of snakes by holding a python.

When I was a child I wanted to be  a geography teacher. But then I did A Level geography and I realised how boring it was!

My favourite person is… my wife,  she’s my best mate and a right laugh.

The part of myself I least like is the fact that I run around like a blue arsed fly all the time and burn the candle at both ends too much. My diary is always full and I’m always trying to do everything. I’m very frustrating to live with at times because I’ve always got loads of pans boiling at the same time.

My favourite TV shows are 24, Damages or Dexter. I like getting into box sets.

My secret talent is  singing. People probably don’t know I can sing but I have done a bit with Emmerdale in charity events and sang at the Royal Albert Hall in a Christmas concert.

The last album I brought was Eminem’s Recovery. I have never massively into rap and a lot of his songs are pretty intense, but I just think the guy is an amazing lyricist. It came off the back of our Christmas party, where we had a cast versus crew rap - off!

My secret crush is Jessica Ennis. I was watching the European Athletic Championships recently and she’s a very attractive girl. She’s incredibly fit - in both ways. Although I’d say I’m an appreciator of lots of God’s creation’s

My friends would describe me as  a complete idiot. They’ve got loads of stories of stupid things I’ve done. I’m quite a tall lad and growing up I was gangly and clumsy. I used to smash glasses all the time. But they’d probably say I was very driven and a good laugh.

If I was not an actor  I would probably be a teacher. But my wife’s a teacher and I see all the stress involved. I just get to play for a living. I also like the thought of being a doctor, but maybe that’s just because I really like ER.

I would most like to star in Spooks. That would be amazing. I would  also like to be in movies and there are loads of directors I’d love to work with, including Paul Green grass.

My biggest regret is not going travelling when I was younger. We had kids quite early, so we will have to wait before we can visit Australia and New Zealand. I would love to travel across America, see Canada and the Far East.

My last meal would be seafood. I absolutely love any kind, so I’d have mussels for starter. Then a massive steak and chips, with a ridiculously indulgent or homely pudding like rhubarb crumble with custard

Taken from Reveal magazine and given to me by https://twitter.com/JadeClifford_LJ really appreciate it
